Core: Do the Core Family Inspirements with your family or on your own. And read or listen to as much of "Freckles" as possible. If you have it finished before Wednesday I will have something extra for you. (a LibriVox link to an audio of the book can be found on the homepage of Millennial Family Vanguard)
Journeymen:
- Find a poem by an American poets that you like. Write it our and bring it to class. (You could choose poems about patience, compassion, nature, Abraham Lincoln, slavery, or America would be fitting for this month but it's not required to be the focus of the poem.)
- Learn about that poet and be prepared to teach us about their life.
Master:
- Create something that expresses patience or compassion: draw, sew, compose or practice a musical piece, write a poem or short story, or anything else. We would love to see or hear it!
- Take 20 minutes in nature: watch clouds, an insect at work, observe wild animals, looking closely at a plant, listen to birds in nature (live not recorded *wink*) . It may feel like a long time but be patient. Be taught by Heavenly Father about the beauty and wonder of His creations. How did you feel during and after?
Just for fun: Learn about the author of "Freckles", Gene Stratton-Porter.
